Kansas City Attached Parenting (KCAP)- This group is for parents in the Kansas City area that practice attachment parenting. Members do not need to practice all areas as our goal is to improve our lives and our parenting skills. At KCAP we say: "Take what works for you and leave the rest." KCAP was created to help local like-minded parents organize meetings, playgroups and talk about life issues. This is a real community here in the Kansas City area...this board is just an extension of our 'real life community'. We usually have several playgroups or field trips every week. We have pot luck dinners often for families too! We strongly encourage active participation in the group in real life!! We ask all new members to try and attend a function within 6-8 weeks. This is only to keep our group close knit and not to rely on the forums too much. (We offer support and encouragement to all who practice any form of attachment parenting. Again, please take what works for you and leave the rest. Having said that, anyone wishing to promote forced weaning, sleep training, routine infant circumcision, spanking, or any parenting method which contributes to detachment between child and parent should be prepared for strong opposing views.)

Diaper Pin- Diaper Pin is created and maintained by a small group of WAHM (work-at-home)/ WOHM (work-out-of-home) mamas who are dedicated to the support of cloth diapers. We launched in May 2000 with a handful of directory members and “how-to” articles. We eventually added seller and product reviews with weighted rankings. Today we list over 900 businesses, 1,500 product reviews. We also have wonderful community of cloth diapering parents who provide tremendous support for cloth diapering and related interests.
